Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the lodge, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and prepare for the adventure ahead. In the evening, your guide will provide a detailed safari briefing, introducing you to the itinerary and sharing useful information about the wildlife and destinations you will visit. Enjoy a delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay in Arusha.

Day 2

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic wildlife destinations. Famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse ecosystems, Tarangire offers excellent game-viewing opportunities throughout the year. Enjoy a full-day game drive as you search for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and a variety of bird species. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park, allowing you to maximize your time in the wilderness. In the late afternoon, proceed to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3

Tarangire – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, traveling through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area with breathtaking views of the highlands and plains. Along the way, enjoy game viewing as you gradually enter one of Africa’s most famous wildlife ecosystems. Arrive in Central Serengeti in time for an afternoon game drive, where you will begin exploring the endless plains and searching for predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards, along with large herds of herbivores. Later in the evening, proceed to your camp for dinner and overnight stay in the heart of the Serengeti.

Day 4

Full-Day Serengeti National Park Safari

Today is dedicated to exploring the magnificent Serengeti National Park, home to one of the greatest concentrations of wildlife on Earth. After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive across the vast savannah plains, following wildlife movements and searching for the Big Five. Depending on the season, you may witness parts of the Great Migration, one of the world's most spectacular natural events. Throughout the day, your experienced guide will help you spot a variety of animals, including lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, and countless bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your adventure. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5

Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti, taking advantage of another opportunity to spot wildlife as the animals begin their day. Later, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its stunning landscapes and rich wildlife. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of the highlands, volcanic craters, and traditional Maasai settlements. Arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon, where you can relax and take in the spectacular surroundings before dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6

Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha – Departure

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. Often referred to as Africa’s "Garden of Eden," the crater is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy excellent game viewing on the crater floor while surrounded by breathtaking scenery. After a picnic lunch, ascend the crater and begin your journey back to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzania safari adventure.

Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed, but the parks visited offer some of the best game-viewing opportunities in Africa.

Comfortable clothing in neutral colors, a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a camera are recommended.

Temperatures can vary, especially in the Ngorongoro Highlands, so a light jacket or warm clothing is advisable.
