Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your dedicated driver-guide, ready to assist you from the very first moment of your journey.

After a brief introduction, you will have the opportunity to exchange currency and receive a short orientation about your upcoming safari experience.

Kigali to Volcanoes National Park – Scenic Drive & Cultural Insight

After a hearty breakfast at your Kigali hotel, your private driver-guide will pick you up for a short but meaningful Kigali city tour. You will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a place of remembrance and reflection dedicated to the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, gaining insight into Rwanda’s history and resilience.

Following the city tour, you will embark on a scenic drive to Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park and the home of the majestic mountain gorillas and playful golden monkeys. Along the way, admire Rwanda’s breathtaking landscapes—rolling hills, verdant valleys, and picturesque villages that showcase the country’s natural beauty.

Mountain Gorilla Trekking & Cultural Immersion

After an early breakfast, you will head to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters in Kinigi, where you will meet your expert ranger guides and complete the necessary park formalities.

Your adventure begins with a once-in-a-lifetime trek to encounter the gentle and majestic mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. As you quietly observe these incredible creatures, you will have the unique opportunity to spend up to one hour with them, watching their daily activities and capturing memories that will last a lifetime.

After your trek, return to your lodge for a relaxing lunch, then embark on an enriching afternoon cultural experience at the Gorilla Guardians’ Iby’iwacu Cultural Village. Here, you will engage with Rwanda’s vibrant heritage—explore traditional practices, learn ancient stories, and participate in lively traditional dances. This immersive experience offers a deeper understanding of Rwanda’s people and culture.

The day concludes back at your lodge, where you can enjoy a sumptuous dinner and a restful overnight stay, reflecting on the unforgettable encounters of the day.

Golden Monkey Trekking & Departure

After breakfast, you will head to the Volcanoes National Park Headquarters to meet your expert guides for a memorable Golden Monkey trekking experience. Spend up to one hour observing these playful and rare primates in their natural habitat, capturing unforgettable moments and photos.

After the trek, return to your lodge for a light meal before checking out. You will then be transferred back to Kigali, where you can enjoy some last-minute souvenir shopping at the city’s vibrant craft shops, depending on your flight schedule.

Finally, your private driver-guide will take you to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Rwandan adventure.
